Established in 1919 by Sid Lockyer, Lockyer’s Country Gardens is currently owned and operated by Greg Moore and CJ Dearlove. We are growers and suppliers of premium annual and perennial plants, shrubs, trees and garden supplies. We have one of the largest on-site greenhouse facilities in Eastern Ontario. Most of our plants, flowers, herbs and vegetables are started from seed or plugs right here on the premises and personally cared for by our dedicated horticulture professionals. We strive to be first with new varieties of plants, while providing good customer value. The nursery is located in Picton on County Road 1, just south of Loyalist Pkwy/Hwy 33.

Our showroom is stocked with a variety of clay and ceramic pots, planters and decorative containers to supplement all of your gardening needs. This includes garden accessories, tools and giftware. Stop by to see the wide selection and meet our in-house Greeters... Barkley and Sophie!

Our greenhouses hold a large selection of annual and perennial plants and an upper level of thousands of hanging baskets. Our concrete floors make it easy to walk around and take in the beauty, wide selection, variety and upscale size of our plants. The plants are conveniently set up by sun/shade required sun exposure and are laid out alphabetically
to help you locate them easily... Annuals by common name; Perennials by Latin name. We’ve been told, “ It's great to have so many colour scheme combinations and varieties all in one place!” and “This is even better than 'Canada Blooms'… and the view is free!”

Greg Moore the owner, and CJ Dearlove the General Manager, rely on the help of a very knowledgeable staff who share the same passion for horticulture and gardening. Some of them have been with us for close to 20 years!
